Finhas Tedla

My name is Finhas Tedla and, in short, I’m a 28 year old Digital Media Artist who specializes in multiple disciplines. My passions are Web Development, Visual Effects, and 3D motion graphics with coding on the side. Spending the last few years of my life working at Fabian-Baber, Inc., I’ve had the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop my understanding of both Video Production and Digital Media.

During my time there, I’ve worked with multiple clients from SES World Skies to Discovery Education on a variety of projects. Believe me, understanding the process that is involved in a project and how many different people need to collaborate for it to come into fruition was one of the keys in my growth and development.  Some of the projects I’ve worked on are the WDYK iPhone Applications by Immediacy Mobile Learning, the SES iPhone Application, the NDH Drug Guide iPhone Application for Cengage/Delmar Learning, a kiosk demonstration featured at NAB since 2009 for SES World Skies, Brainetics, and Icons of Science for Discovery Education.

Before working at Fabian-Baber fulltime, I attended Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York and studied Computer Engineering Technology for two years. I did fairly well but after my second year, felt that I wasn’t going to be happy doing that for the rest of my life. After moving back home to Philadelphia, I started work at Fabian-Baber and attend the local Delaware Community College part time (1-2 classes a semester). As of the Fall of 2009, Drexel University has been my home away from home.  I chose to study Digital Media and haven’t regretted this decision. It’s been a fun experience thus far and I’m looking forward to the years ahead.

As far as my personal life goes, it’s fairly quiet with a few fun nights here and there. People have called me shy and ‘bashful’ which I think might actually be a correct interpretation. I have a great family, a caring and very supportive mother and two great completely different sisters. Sage, my amazing Miniature Australian Shepard, has been my companion and best friend ever since I picked her up from the breeder. If you want proof, take a look at the numerous photos of her on my Facebook page. It may be awkward for some people but it’s better than being alone. I keep a few good friends which I think is better than a lot of shallow relationships.
